KIND UK is expanding swiftly and seeks expressions of interest from experienced freelance website content and feature writers, preferably with a background in legal or activist writing and reporting.
At present we’re looking to produce more content for our website and for syndication into other partner organisations’ output, covering our charitable and policy influence activities as well as wider issue journalism around the situation of children and young people with insecure immigration status. We would also seek legal-journalism pitches covering changes and impacts of change to the law in this and related areas.
News and other short pieces should be 150-300 words overall length; we may ask you to pitch a series of short posts if it suits the content. Longer-form pieces covering more complex topics will be considered where the content suits the form. We are aware that long-form legal analysis pieces take significant work; please quote prices reflecting the time a piece is expected to require, rather than length alone.
Interested parties should contact firstname.lastname@example.org with a pitch, link to portfolio, and approximate quote/budget. Please do not send completed speculative work.
